Description: egg milkvetch, Astragalus oophorus var. oophorus, Nevada, White Mountains, Sugarloaf, Pinchot Creek - Columbus Salt Marsh drainage, elevation 2665 m (8745 ft). This variety of the species is limited to the mountains of the southwestern Great Basin and adjacent northwestern Mojave Desert of west-central Nevada and adjacent eastern California, ascending up to just over 3000 meters (10,000 feet) elevation. There are several other distinctive varieties of the species with even more limited geographic ranges in the Great Basin or Mojave Desert. Date: 16 June 2017, 08:09.
