Description: English: The fruit of Dacryodes edulis requires a little mild heating - in hot water or gently grilled - to soften the green flesh and purple skin before eating. Grows and is a popular and nutritious seasonal fruit in the African equatorial climatic band from West Africa, through Central Africa to East Africa. Date: 17 March 2016. Source: Own work.
