Parazit se hostitelských žaber přidržuje pomocí zadního příchytného aparátu složeného ze čtyř párů výrazných prstovitých výběžků, které jsou zakončeny sklerotizovanými svorkami. English: The photograph depicts an adult parasitic fluke Diclidophora denticulata on the gill filament of a dark-colored cod (Pollachius virens) caught in Norway. The parasite attaches to the host's gills using a posterior attachment apparatus composed of four pairs of prominent finger-like projections, which are terminated by sclerotized clamps.
