Image of Question Mark

Description:

Description: One of the few butterflies to overwinter as an adult, the question mark is named for a white marking on its hindwing shaped like a question mark. Another butterfly found in the Old Forest, the Eastern comma, looks very similar, but its punctuation mark lacks the dot that distinguishes the question mark. On warm days in the winter, if you see a butterfly in the woods, it's probably one of these two species. Date: 27 August 2017, 09:52. Source: Question mark. Author: Melissa McMasters from Memphis, TN, United States.
