Description: English: Libellulidae Brachythemis contaminata, male, on Nelumbo nucifera leaf (Sacred lotus) with water drops, at the surface of a muddy pond, in Don Det, Si Phan Don, Laos. The texture of the Nelumbo is ultrahydrophobic and this particularity gave its name to the Lotus effect, when drops of water slide on the surface without wetting it.
