Description: English: This great cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo) is drying its feathers. Although this birds spend a great part of their time on the water, their feathers are not water-repellent. Therefore, they are commonly seen with their wings spread, in order to get their feathers dry. Português: Este corvo-marinho-de-faces-brancas (Phalacrocorax carbo) está a secar as penas. Apesar de estas aves passarem muito tempo dentro de água, as suas penas não são impermeáveis. Portanto, é normal serem avistadas com as asas abertas, a secar as penas.
