Description: English: White-banded Crab Spider (male) - Misumenoides formosipes, Meadowood Farm SRMA, Mason Neck, Virginia. I was excited to find this spider, as I thought it was a new species of Crab Spider for me. When I looked it up, I realized that it was a species that I see frequently, but the males look quite different from the females. I love the way the first two leg pairs are a color match for the cephalothorax, and the third and fourth leg pairs match the abdomen. Date: 4 September 2013, 17:19:32.
