Sarracenia purpurea venosa 14

Description:
Description: English: Sarracenia purpurea venosa from www.carnivorousplantnursery.com. The southern purple pitcher plant is not supposed to get as deep purple, I believe. I like how much it looks like autumn leaves, and the more green pitchers look peach colored. I took a leaf pulling of a couple of older pitchers, they will grow in my windowsill while the main plant grows outside. Larger pitchers are about 1 1/2 inches (almost 4 cm) long.
