Description:
Description: English: This uncommon fern is unique to California where it grows around rocks in calcareous areas in hills and mountains. It was previously in the genus Cheilanthes. It is distinctive because of its long hairs (seen here in the full size image view) and more membranous fronds than other Californian Myriopteris species. It is photographed here in Sequoia National Park in the general vicinity of the Park Headquarters. Image imgl0038, March 28th 2017. Date: 28 March 2017, 08:46:52.
