Description: This introduced grass was growing with a bunched habit in an area that may have been vegetatively restored and there mainly at the bottom of shale barrens where perhaps water runoff was collected. The spikelets have well developed paleas and are borne generally along the length of the inflorescence branch. The ligules are about 4-5 mm long, generally longer than wide.
