Description: English: False hellebore (Veratrum) found in alpine-tundra/forest transition areas of Alaska's mountainous regions. A highly toxic plant. This pic was taken at Turnagain Pass, Alaska in late summer, when the plant begins to bloom. This particular plant is about 5 feet tall, but can easily reach over 6 feet. Date: 4 July 2019, 16:30:55.
