Leaves do not form a well-developed persistent basal rosette. Leaves are elliptic, mostly 1.5–4 cm long, 5–15 mm wide, glabrous and sessile. Flowerheads are corymb-like, consisting of numerous compound cymes. Calyx is at least two-thirds the length of the corolla tube. Corolla is 8–13 mm long and red to pink.
