A Coati on the trail of the park, as the coatimundi, is a member of the raccoon family. The coati is a medium sized mammal. It is found across North, Central and South America. The coati is mainly found in dense forests and wet jungles, the coati will spend most of its life in trees. Howeversome inhabit grasslands, mountains and even deserts. The coati eats both plants and animals. The coati eats a variety of different fruits, nuts and seeds, along with insects, birds eggs, rodents and small reptiles such as lizards and snakes.
