Description: Plasma cell interstitial pneumonia is not a common accompaniment of Pneumocystis infection occurring in persons with HIV infection and other conditions causing immunosuppression. Plasma cell interstital pneumonia was frequently seen accompanying Pneumocystis infection in malnourished children in european orphanages follwing the second world war.
