The nocturnal Flying Lemur is active at night, spending the day inside specific holes in trunks of standing dead trees, or inside holes in branches of live trees. Colugos have a membrane of skin that enables them to cover long distances gliding from tree to tree. Phylogenetic studies seem to prove, that Colugos are the closest relatives of the primates.
