Description:

Description: Flash photography because of the 9-5! A great night last night with 42 moths of 15 species to the garden trap. Of note were 2 Dark Sword-grass and a garden first Rosy Rustic lagging a bit behind its usual peak flying time. The catch was mainly made up of Epiphyas postvittana (9), November Moth sp (7) and Feathered Thorn (5) I still have a Caloptilia and Phyllonorycter to check, the latter I think is leucographella. Small Dusty Wave was a surprise and my latest record ever. We continue to get these lovely warm winds from the south along with quite a bit of rain at times..maybe there is still time for another surprise migrant.
