Moser Image location: Zavidovo, Tver Oblast, Russia in Europe, is 1. sejunctum with Quercus and Fagus on calcareous soil, a rare and threatened species 2. arvernense, on sandy soil with Pinus They look pretty much the same. Check out other obses at MO and pictures on the web of arvernense too. And then there is one with a darker green cap that grows with spruce, which I call viridilutescens. T. sejunctum and arvernense are separated in Flora Agaricina Neerlandica, but they add to more confusion with other names. Making viridilutescens a synonym of sejunctum results in a taxon without a name… But all these names are a mess, I don’t think the last word has been said yet.
