Description:
Cape York Peninsula, Queensland, Australiaon bark of Melaleuca arcana in a swamp. Coll. K.Thiele, 1985 (CANB)Scale 5 mmThallus appearing umbilicate/fruticose, attached by a holdfast, containing protocetraric acid and satellite compounds, as well as atranorin. Algae green, unicellular, forming a layer under the ecorticate upper surface. Apothecia marginal, short-stalked, biatorine, no trace of a thalline margin at any time in their development.Specimen too old for any meaningful molecular analysis.
