Mellow yellow
Description:
Lomandra hermaphrodita flowerFor Beth and Ron. I have been looking for flowers on these plants for the last twelve months even though I know they flower between April and June. It was quite a surprise to find these at the end of the day.The plants of these are dioecious (separate male and female plants) This has pollen showing between the petals, so I am thinking this is a male plant. Now I have to find a female. 8-4-2011 Lomandra flowersMale flowers have 6 stamens with a reduced ovaryFemale flowers have 6 sterile and reduced stamens and a prominent ovaryBushland Plants of Kings Park Pat Dundas
