Description:
2011-08-05 Vienna XXII. district, Lobau National Park (153 msm Quadrant 7865/1).German name: HerbstzeitloseThis is the first flowering one I saw this year (that is, except for this var. vernale, obviously).Usually, flowering season begins only in mid august (around 15th at the earliest, more typical would be between 20th and 25th); 5th of august is extraordinarily early. However, it is the only one I saw on this day - while in full bloom there are thousands upon thousands of them, on the meadows of Lobau.
