Murex anatomica pele]Pele's murex or Anatomical murexMuricidaeThe subspecies pele is endemic to the Hawaiian Islands.Uncommon to rare.These were all found in waters off Haleiwa, Oahu in mid-1970's. A variable species with many color and patterns. White is the most common color.Please note: I do not collect or trade sea shells any longer. For me, the value of the animal is far greater than the shell it possess.
