MALVACEAE - Portia Tree (Thespesia populnea)

Description:

Portia Tree can be mixed up with Cuban Bast easily. However their differences can be told through careful observation. Though leaves of both Portia Tree and Cuban Bast are heart-shaped, Portia Trees are more circular in shape and with obvious veins. Its leaves do not have a protruding apex which Cuban Basts do.
