Pileus convex-conic when young, not fully expanding, loosely clustered, 3-5 cm. broad; surface smooth, glabrous, moist but not viscid, latericious, leaving a stain on paper, margin entire, strongly inflexed, concolorous or somewhat paler; lamellae sinuateadnate to adnexed, not crowded, broad, ventricose, pallid; spores ovoid, smooth, hyaline, uninucleate, 5-7X2.54.5 m; stipe subequal to slightly ventricose, rosy, smooth and glabrous at the apex, fibrilloseshaggy near the center, fleshy, solid, 7 cm. long, about 1 cm. thick; veil scanty, fibrillose, rosy, evanescent, persisting as fibrils on the margin and stipe.
Type locality: Seattle, Washington.^ Habitat: Among humus under a log in woods. Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
