Euglenamorphid euglenids, monotypic, parasitic genus included in the euglenoids by some authorities but not others; green, cigar-shaped, non-rigid cells, with numerous discoid chloroplasts and 3 emergent flagella; recorded once only within the digestive tract of tadpoles of Rana in Pennsylvania. Type species: E. hegneri
