Gonodonta sinaldus Guenée 1852

Gonodonta sinaldus, the moonseed fruitpiecer, is a moth of the family Erebidae. The species was first described by Achille Guenée in 1852. It is found from the Mexican border north to Concan in the Texas Hill Country. There are sporadic records north to at least Dallas, south at least to Trinidad and Colombia.

The wingspan is about 36 mm. There are probably continuous generations.

The larvae feed on moonseed vine.

Gonodonta sinaldus is een vlinder uit de familie van de spinneruilen (Erebidae).^[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1852 door Guenée.

Gonodonta sinaldus^[1] là một loài bướm đêm thuộc họ Noctuidae. Nó được tìm thấy ở the Mexican border phía bắc đến Concan in the Texas Hill Country. Chúng được ghi nhận ở phía bắc ít ra ở Dallas, phía nam ít ra đến Trinidad và Colombia.

Sải cánh dài khoảng 36 mm. Therre are probably continuous generations.
