Plasmodial marine multinucleate amoebae able to aggregate into anastomosing plasmodia several millimetres in size. Forms cysts. Des-cribed from Austria in association with the rhodophyte Batrachospermum. Resembles a num-ber of other large marine amoebae - such as Cinetidomyxa, Thalassomyxa, and Stereomyxa.
