Sinoennea is a genus of air-breathing land snails, terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusks in the family Diapheridae.[2] [3]

Etymology

The name of the genus Sinoennea originates from Sino- (Chinese) + Ennea.

Distribution

The distribution of Sinoennea includes South of India, Indochina, China (South of Yangtze River[4] and Taiwan[5]), Malaysian Peninsula[6][4] in Malaysia[2] and Thailand,[4][2] Sumatra, Japan and South Korea.[2]

Description

The shell of Sinoennea has 6-7 whorls.[2] The whorls are swelling.[4]

Taxonomy

This genus used to belong to the families Streptaxidae[4] and Diapheridae, but the newest assigned it to the Family Enneinae.[2]

弯螺属（學名：Sinoennea），又名中華草包蝸牛屬[3]，是一種會呼吸空氣的陸地蝸牛，屬於扭蜗牛总科扭蜗牛科草包蝸牛亞科的陸上有肺類腹足綱軟體動物[4]

語源

本屬的學名Sinoennea源於Sino-（中華）+Ennea（草包蝸牛屬），也就是本屬在台灣的名稱的取名「中華草包蝸牛屬」[3]。

分佈

弯螺属物种主要分佈於喜马拉雅山山麓丘陵地带、印度南部、印度支那、苏门答腊岛、台灣[3]、日本、韩国、马来半岛[5][6]的泰国[6][4]和馬來西亞[4]、中国长江以南地区[6]等地(Thiele，1931；Azuma，1982；Schileyko，2000；Panha & Burch，2005)[4]。

型態描述

有6到7個螺层（英语：whorl (mollusc)）[4]，各螺层膨胀凸出[6]。

分類

本屬原屬舊肺螺亚纲柄眼目的，今屬真有肺類柄眼類分支弯尿道類非正式群組的扭轴蜗牛总科。

本屬過往曾經屬於扭轴蜗牛科（Streptaxidae）[6]、Diapheridae科，現屬草包蝸牛科（Enneinae）[4]。
