Pithecops is a genus of butterflies in the family Lycaenidae erected by Thomas Horsfield in 1828.

Pithecops er en slekt av dagsommerfugler som tilhører undergrupper blåvinger i den store familie glansvinger (Lycaenidae).

Utseende

Ganske små blåvinger (vingespenn 24-32 millimeter) med brede, avrundede vinger uten stjerter på bakvingene. Oversiden er mørkblå eller brun med hvite felter. Undersiden er hvit med brune streker langs ytterkantene, en svart flekk fremst på bakvingen.

Levevis

I alle fall én av artene har larver på planteslekten Desmodium (erteblomstfamilien).

Utbredelse

Slekten er utbredt i Sørøst-Asia, fra India i vest til Ny-Guinea i øst.
