Loricariichthys edentatus is a species of catfish in the family Loricariidae. It is native to South America, where it occurs in the lower Uruguay River basin in Entre Ríos Province in Argentina, and also in Brazil. It has no teeth on the premaxilla, a unique feature in the genus Loricariichthys.[2] The species reaches 11.5 cm (4.5 inches) in standard length and is believed to be a facultative air-breather.[3]
