Tephritis ( anglais )

Tephritis is a genus of flies. It contains around 170 described species, making it the sixth largest genus in the family Tephritidae.[10] Many more undescribed species are known from specimen collections.[11] Tephritis occur throughout much of the world, but most are Palearctic.[10] They can be found in a wide range of climate types, from hot semidesert to tundra.[12] Most species inhabit the inflorescences of plants from several tribes in the family Asteraceae, and a few species cause galls to form.[10][13]

Tephritis can be distinguished from other fruit flies of the Tephritinae by the arrangement of setae on their bodies, among other characters.[14][15]

Tephritis is a genus of flies. It contains around 170 described species, making it the sixth largest genus in the family Tephritidae. Many more undescribed species are known from specimen collections. Tephritis occur throughout much of the world, but most are Palearctic. They can be found in a wide range of climate types, from hot semidesert to tundra. Most species inhabit the inflorescences of plants from several tribes in the family Asteraceae, and a few species cause galls to form.

Tephritis can be distinguished from other fruit flies of the Tephritinae by the arrangement of setae on their bodies, among other characters.

L'adulte mesure de 3 à 7 mm ; sa tête est rousse ; ses yeux sont verts à reflets pourpré (T. matricariae ou T. nesii) ou bleus (T. pulchra) ; ses antennes sont courtes. Le tégument de son corps est généralement noir ou brun, plus ou moins roussâtre sur les côtés du thorax. Des soies dures ornent le thorax, elles sont de couleurs sombres, noires ou brunes (T. postica) rarement d'un jaune roux (T. formosa). Le corps est couvert d'une villosité blanche, jaune ou noire, fine sur le thorax, plus longue et formée de soies plus épaisses sur l'abdomen. Les pattes sont rousses ou jaunes. La détermination se base sur l'ornementation alaire[1].

La plupart des espèces parasitent les capitules d’Asteraceae et quelques espèces induisent la formation de galles dans les tiges ou les racines de ces mêmes Asteraceae[2].

Tephritis (лат.) — род мух из семейства пестрокрылок (Tephritidae).

Описание

Небольшие мухи (палеарктические виды, как правило, менее 4 мм)[1]. Более 160 видов. Встречаются в Палеарктике (114 видов), Неарктике (21), Афротропике (3), Австралазии (21) и Ориентальной области (11 видов)[2], главным образом, в Китае и Вьетнаме[1]. Большинство видов встречаются на цветах растений Asteraceae (Compositae), некоторые виды вызывают образование галлов[3].
