Perennial, woody, forming c. 15-25 cm tall clump; internodes almost absent. Leaf paripinnately compound, petiole c. 8-13 mm long, pubescent; rachis c. 1.3-3.2 cm long, pubescent, tip spiny, persistent. Leaflets c. 12-22, c. 4-5 mm long, c. 1.5-2.0 mm broad, elliptic, oblong, entire, obtuse, mucronate, densely pubescent on both sides, petiolule less than 1 mm long, densely pilose; stipules 3-4 mm long, pubescent. Inflorescence an axillary, 1-2-flowered, peduncle 8 mm or less long, villous, bracts c. 2 mm long, pubescent; pedicel c. 2 mm long, pubescent. Calyx (The maximum ranges of calyx and vexillum are from Aitchison 76,174.) c. 13-18 mm long, pubescent, teeth c. 3-5 mm long. Vexillum c. 17-30 mm long. externally pilose. Keel and carina glabrous. Fruit c. 10 mm long, c. 4 mm broad, pilose, partly bilocular; stipe curved, c. 1-2 mm long.
