Ministrymon clytie is resident in North America only in the very southern tip of Texas (Scott 1986). It ranges to south Mexico and is migratory into southern Arizona and central Mexico. Habitats are subtropical thorn forest. Host plants are trees, restricted to one family, Leguminosae (such as Prosopis reptans and other legumes). There are many flights all year in s Tex (Scott 1986).
