I was happy to find this plant, it grew is a dried fish pond. Jute mallow (Corchorus olitorius) is a wild weed that is also cultivated and used for food. Here u can see its fruit.
Corchorus trilocularis is a rare weed in Israel, it used to be common in summer irrigated fields, but disappeared with the change of traditional agriculture into a modern one. Nobody really konws its original habitat.
