Description: Sleepy silene inhabits regularly disturbed sites, which is indicated by the sparse vegetation cover in the patch where this plant is common. The plants at this site have glabrate leaves and stems with a shiny somewhat resinous covering. The combination of a glabrous calyx and linear leaves suggest these plant belong to Silene antirrhina.
