Xyris savanensis is a species of grass in the family Xyridaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Bahia, Amapá, Paraná, Santa Catarina, RondôNia, Mata Atlântica, Rio Grande Do Norte, Sergipe, Maranhao, Pantanal, ParaíBa, Acre (Brazil), Piauí, Minas Gerais, Rio Grande Do Sul, SãO Paulo, Roraima, Amazônia, Pará, GoiáS, Distrito Federal, Cerrado, Caatinga, Alagoas, Espirito Santo, Ceará, Tocantins, Pernambuco, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Mato Grosso, and Rio De Janeiro. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Augochloropsis callichroa and Honey bee.
