P. fradulenta strains from Gulf of Maine, North West Atlantic contained 0.18-0.39 ng domoic acid per mL (Fernandes et al 2014). Strains from California contained 14.8-.22.7 µg domoic acid per L (Sison-Mangus et al 2014)
