They are native to Caatinga, Espirito Santo, SãO Paulo, Pernambuco, Sergipe, Tocantins, Distrito Federal, Alagoas, Cerrado, ParaíBa, Ceará, Minas Gerais, Amazônia, Bahia, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Mato Grosso, Acre (Brazil), Pará, Paraná, Maranhao, Mata Atlântica, Piauí, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande Do Norte, RondôNia, Rio Grande Do Sul, GoiáS, and Rio De Janeiro. They have compound, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 15 m.
