Baptisia australis (Blue False Indigo) is a species of perennial herb in the family legumes. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States and North America. They have compound, broad leaves and magenta flowers. Flowers are visited by Common Eastern Bumblebee, Megachile frugalis, Brown-belted Bumblebee, and Black and Gold Bumble bee. Individuals can grow to 0.8 m.
