Test planispirally enrolled, slightly evolute, strongly compressed, interior divided by thin straight organic partitions, not corresponding to the original apertural face and not always reflected at the surface; wall agglutinated, commonly of quartz grains and sponge spicules on a proteinaceous base; aperture a broad low interiomarginal equatorial opening.
