Caulophyllum thalictroides (Blue Cohosh) is a species of perennial herb in the family Berberidaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, and Eastern North America. They have simple, broad leaves and purple flowers. Flowers are visited by Cheilosia hoodiana, Microgaster gelechiae, Idiostethus subcalvus, and Melanostoma. Individuals can grow to 2.5 feet.
