Carica papaya (Papaya) is a species of shrub in the family Caricaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Middle America. They have simple, broad leaves and white flowers. Flowers are visited by Nascus phocus, NO NAME!, Zebra Longwing, and Crimson Patched Longwing. Individuals can grow to 20 feet.
