Carica papaya (Papaya) is a species of tree in the family Caricaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Middle America. They have simple, broad leaves and white flowers. Flowers are visited by Honey bee, Macroglossum trochilus, Pink-spotted Hawkmoth, and Nephele comma. Individuals can grow to 20 feet.
