Miconia affinis (Saquiyac) is a species of tree in the family melastomes. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to GoiáS, Minas Gerais, Amazônia, SãO Paulo, Distrito Federal, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Acre (Brazil), Pernambuco, Pará, Rio De Janeiro, Bahia, Espirito Santo, Maranhao, Ceará, Cerrado, Mata Atlântica, RondôNia, Alagoas, Amapá, Puerto Rico, and Mato Grosso. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 8.6 m.
