They are native to The Contiguous United States, Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin Islands. They have simple, broad leaves and green flowers. Flowers are visited by Honey bee, Chalybion zimmermanni aztecum, Florida Carpenter Ant, and Entypus unifasciatus. Individuals can grow to 49 feet.
