Hemiparasitic (per Leistner (2000)), climbing shrub. Leaves opposite, pinnatisect. Flowers solitary in the axils. Calyx inflated in fruit. Corolla: tube funnel shaped, ± curved; lobes 5. Stamens 4, didynamous; anthers 2(-1)-thecal. Ovary 2-locular. Capsule spherical. Our only climbing member of this family.
