Stegosaurus was a herbivore in the Stegosaur group. It had a large body with large plates running down its back. On its tail, there were four (4) spikes at the end. The spikes are called 'tagamisers'. Scientists believe that the plates on the back of Stegosaurus were to scare off enemies. Blood vessels would run through the plates making them a scary display. The spiked tail would help to attack the enemies as well incase the blood-red plates did not do their job.
