Porophyllum ruderale (Yerba Porosa) is a species of annual herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Amapá, SãO Paulo, Ceará, Rio Grande Do Norte, U.S. Virgin Islands, Mata Atlântica, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Caatinga, Santa Catarina, Paraná, GoiáS, Tocantins, Espirito Santo, Minas Gerais, Cerrado, Acre (Brazil), Rio Grande Do Sul, The Neotropics, The Contiguous United States, Pará, Pernambuco, Mato Grosso, Roraima, Puerto Rico, Sergipe, Rio De Janeiro, US Minor Outlying Islands, Amazônia, RondôNia, Alagoas, Bahia, Pampa, and Distrito Federal. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 1.8 m.
