Sporobolus michauxianus (Freshwater Cord Grass) is a species of perennial grass in the family true grasses. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, North America, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, Eastern North America, Western North America, United States, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Melissodes bimaculatus. Individuals can grow to 2.5 m.
