Description

Shrub up to c. 2 m tall. Young branches covered in dark pustular glands. Spines in pairs at the nodes, up to 5 cm long, straight. Leaves compound with 7-13 (-20) pairs of pinnae and 6-15 pairs of leaflets per pinna. Gland present at the junction of the top 1-2 pinnae pairs, often also on the petiole and scattered dark glands on the rhachis. Flowers in spherical heads, golden yellow. Pods distinctively curved almost full circle, irregularly constricted between the seeds, covered in dark pustular glands and hairs, dehiscent.
