Canadanthus modestus (Canada Aster) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, Alaska, and North America. They have simple, broad leaves, purple flowers, and achenes. Flowers are visited by Argynnis mormonia, Bombus vancouverensis nearcticus, Plebejus anna, and Tharsalea mariposa. Individuals can grow to 3 feet.
