Camellia sinensis (Tea Plant) is a species of tree in the family Theaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Asia. They have simple, broad leaves and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Asian giant hornet, Apis cerana, Parnara guttata, and Asian hornet. Individuals can grow to 2.5 m.
